My name is Tilishia Bradley, I was born and raised in Trenton, NJ, always loved to move and to be moved by music. As a competitive gymnast, I received formal training in ballet until the age of 11. I then continued to dance in my junior high after-school program where I was exposed to numerous workshops and classes in various modern dance techniques. This experience motivated me to pursue dance all the more. As a young adult, I began studying West African and Modern dance, from master dancers in New York City and Washington, DC. I danced with several modern and West African dance companies in NY, NJ, DC and OH. I currently dance with KowTeff African Dance Company and Movement for the Urban Village. My passion for dance has been supported and nurtured by many powerful teachers and mentors such as Makini Niliwaambi, Marossa Brown, Sewaa Codrington, Aicha Diop, and Ronald K. Brown, Shalewa Mackall. I am also a seasoned and gifted teaching artist. I have been fortunate to combine my passion for dance with my love for teaching, which has afforded me the opportunity to share the joy of dance with people of all ages in an intimate and meaningful way. ...

My name is Lisa Grant, I was born in Brooklyn and attended BMCC and Queens College where I majored in Dance/Sociology. I was Captain for BMCC cheer/dance squad, where I lead my team to their first victory in school competition. I studied dance at Bernice Johnson school of the art's in Queens NY. While studying, jazz, African and Modern I became the lead dancer for Chuck Davis! I left BJ"s to attend Gloria Jackson in Queens NY to study jazz, hip-hop and African. In my early years, I performed for shows and, weddings, as well as professional videos! I performed with artists such as; Toni Braxton, Shabba Ranks, and Nas! Throughout my years of performing, I yearned to give back so I continued my studies at Broadway Dance Center in advanced Hip Hop to master my craft. I have been teaching for the past ten years in almost every community in New York City, public and private. Most of the students I teach graduate from performing art's schools and become successful young adults. Their experiences are not limited to just dance, but may include self esteem and self respect! While perfecting my art of teaching I learned patience, empathy and dedication. I provide a learning atmosphere that is structured, fun, engaging and filled with quality! ...
